Well it's 2 weeks later and it's PODTIME! Get your ears ready for another half an hour of audio mayhem from WallerFM. This fortnight's episode is our NOSTALGIA SPECIAL (we again incorporated a very loose theme that doesn't really have anything to do with the majority of the content). Dave, how do you get that sound effect on you'r voice? like the old fashioned stuff, and the phone sound? do you use Adobe Audition to do all that stuff?

Izotope vinyl is a free VST plugin for making any recording sound dirty and old. Also iZotope trash is one (not free) that simulates the sounds of old speakers, amplifiers and guitar pedals. Combine the two and you have that ancient sound.
