Podcast 4 + more stuff

Posted by Doki Jun. 19, 2008 @ 11:50 PM EDT

So as usual, there's a new Podcast, get it quick before it burns away (it won't).

LISTEN

Also the Stop Motion I mentioned before is coming along nicely. The first edit is done and I am now awaiting music. Composer Marcus Fjellstrom who did the music for 'Men From Up The Stairs' is providing the soundtrack and this is a first for me because he's composing music especially from the video I sent him rather than me editing to an already finished piece. Exciting.

Furthermore, not only is Jerry Jackson in the latest podcast, but he's also working on a new cart2n. It might take him a while though because he's coding it in NASA programming language using his XBOX with Harrison Ford providing motion capture for ultra realistic animation. That's what he told me anyway.

Outstanding work, Firth. I really can't wait till you finish it, I expect it to be as amazing such as your past stop-motion work.

Haha nah we really are a bunch of wankers. Id give anything to not be Australian.

Can't wait for the stopmotion.

Do you wear white socks?

Jun. 20, 2008 | 10:38 AM Doki responds:

We don't hate Aussies at all. You just have funny accents and silly culture.

Australia is now the most obese nation in the world. Don't worry though, People in the u.s. didn't get any lighter. That was entirely related because of Australia.

Tell Jerry Jackson he needs to download the new harrison ford compatibility update into his xbox if he hasn't already, messy results should he forget.

Wow. Sounds Awesome, as always. I hope Jerry has something creative. He seems to always have something unsalable. Yes, unsalable.

Have fun!

Wow I'm really enjoying these Podcasts, I've never really paid attention to podcasts before and I wasn't really too enthusiastic about the thought of this but each one has been funny as fuck and I just think you two have a lot of fun doing it which comes through and it's just so funny to listen to. I liek the way you touch on different cultures too, I'd liek to see more UK cultures though, like you seem to be doing a lot of Yorkshire stuff... I beleive you are from Yorkshire but it'd be cool to hear maybe some Scouser stuff or Geordie... Cockney ... Scottish I dunno I liek your take on cultures though it's very English i think. Oh, and I'm really looking forward to this stop motion movie. Good work.

The argument about taps was hilarious.

Jun. 23, 2008 | 5:29 PM OdHero says:

I started on #4 and it was just so entertaining, I went and listened to the rest today, they are really good, and you guys mentioned my lil old town of cheltenham, haha I loved it! Thanks for the free entertainment.

I was wondering what are you guys using for your sound recording and editing? I'm using a program called Audacity and it's pretty good for a free program but I'm looking for something a little better when it comes to more complex editing than just a couple of lines of dialougue. It's doable with Audacity but finicky.

Jun. 24, 2008 | 5:39 AM UKMATOR says:

Try Adobe Audition, that's pretty good! you can get rid of the fuzzyness in the background.

Oct. 19, 2008 | 7:28 PM nietzlawe says:

I read through all the comments and not one person appreciated the "get it quick before it burns away" and then "it won't" in brackets. I found that tiny little joke hilarious because little things like that appeal to me a lot. I could even imagine the tone it was spoken in as well, [quick, serious and a sideways nod of the head]

Sometimes its funny to record a podcast and listen to it at work. I personally cringe at the sound of my own voice, but its funny at the same time. Cringe-ism is fantastic, I am currently writing a script for a Flash series, its called The Benny Guttman Show, about an insecure comedian who does a tour and ends up doing really painful cringey acts in rundown clubs and pubs. He gets heckled and booed, but at the same time it is a black comedy. I'd ask you to help me with the project, but I reckon you're a very busy person these days.

But if you're ever interested, let me know.......

Honestly!! Its a genuine offer!
Seriously I swear on my Dad's grave!

It really is though. I know you're a brill Flash artist and could create the detailed kind of animation I need.

The argument was absolutely amazing. I listened to it about 3 times before I continued listening to the rest.
